Dunk That Trash Web

Sad News!

This message is a request for you to be on the lookout for two metal trash baskets, stolen from the corners of Pauline/Vance this week. As identification, they are painted with bright orange rims.

The stolen baskets were provided by the City Public Services Division as the first step in our neighborhood anti-litter effort. That effort came to an end because of maintenance issues with the city.

However, for the months the Pauline/Vance baskets have been in place, they have been used fairly well by walkers in the neighborhood. Usage would have been even better if the trash baskets had been labeled with:
  1. our neighborhood name, and
  2. an anti-litter slogan.
A possibility is that, because the two stolen trash baskets were metal, they were taken by metal scavengers. This is a fact to consider if trash baskets are selected for our neighborhood in the future.
